Guided ski touring trip is a fantastic way to explore new terrain safely. Whether you´re a beginner or an experienced skier, guided tours offer numerous benefits such as access to expert knowledge of the area and safety guidance. Ski touring in Northern Norway is an incredible experience for skiers seeking pristine snow, stunning landscapes, and challenging terrain. Area around Tromsø and Lyngen has endless options for ski touring, where you can ski from the mountain peak all the way to the Arctic Ocean. The terrain offer a variety of terrain suitable for ski touring, from gentle slopes to steep couloirs and glaciated peaks. Our vertical drop is up to 1500m in the unbelievable Arctic mountains.

Season: The ski touring season in Northern Norway typically runs from February to May, with March and April being the most popular months due to longer daylight hours and generally stable snow conditions.

Overall, ski touring in the Lyngen Alps offers a unique and unforgettable experience for outdoor enthusiasts, with breathtaking scenery and endless opportunities for adventure.

Ski touring week in Lyngen Alps

Price includes:

  • Price ----- EUR per person (coming soon)
  • 5 days guided ski touring in the Lyngen Alps and Tromsø
  • Day trip to the city of Tromsø
  • Lodge accommodation 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday
  • Breakfast and dinner
  • 4 – 7 people in the group
  • Guided ski touring with professional guides
  • Transportations during the days
  • Pick up & drop off at the Tromsø airport

Not included:

  • International and domestic airfares
  • Personal insurance

Skills required:

  • Advanced skiing ability and some prior ski touring experience required 

  • You should be able to ski black diamond ski slopes at ski areas in just about any condition, and be able to ski ungroomed slopes of intermediate difficulty

Fitness Level: 

Ski touring in the Lyngen Alps requires a good level of fitness, as you'll be hiking uphill with your skis and gear for several hours at a time. Make sure to train beforehand and be prepared for long days in the mountains.


Every participant needs skiing equipment;

  • Backpack, 30-40 liter (must enable to attach skis)

  • Randonnèe skis or splitboard with skins (preferably tech bindings)

  • 2-3 Heli straps

  • Ski crampons

  • Ski boots

  • Poles


  • Wind/waterproof shell

  • Gloves / mittens / hat (wind and waterproof)

  • Socks (incl. spare)

  • Insulating underwear (wool)

  • Insulating midlayer (wool, fleece or thin down west)

  • Insulating jacket (down or primaloft)

Avalance equipment (can be borrowed)

  • Beacon

  • Shovel

  • Probe


  • Helmet

  • Sunglasses and goggles

  • Sunblock (strong!)

  • Bottle / thermos

The guide brings
