How to get there?

Tromsø is the closest major airport and it is about half an hour drive from the lodge.

Who is this for?

This trip is ideal for intermediate to advanced ski tourers with a good level of fitness and solid off-piste skiing ability. Previous touring experience is required.

OVERVIEW

Arrival Day

  • ARRIVAL: Fly into Tromsø, the largest city in northern Norway.

  • MEET & GREET: Meet your guides and fellow participants.

  • GROCERY STOP: Visit a local grocery store on the way to the ski lodge.

  • BRIEFING: Overview of the week's itinerary, safety protocols, and equipment check.

Daily Routine

  • MORNING: Wake up, enjoy breakfast, and prepare for the day's tour.

  • SKI TOURING: Each day features a different route, with vertical drops ranging from 800 to 1,400 meters.
    Destinations vary based on snow conditions and group ability.

  • LUNCH: Packed lunch on the mountain (not included — participants prepare their own lunches).

  • EVENING ACTIVITIES: Enjoy dinner, plan the next day's route, and relax with the group. With a bit of luck, you might witness the Northern Lights!

Departure Day

  • FAREWELL & TRANSFER: Your guide will accompany you to the airport for your flight home.


      Accommodation

      Your Basecamp in the Heart of Arctic Nature

      Our guests stay in a spacious and cozy house, ideal for relaxing after a day in the mountains. The house is divided into two separate apartments and offers a total of six double bedrooms for guest use.

      You'll find all modern comfort so you can focus on what matters most: exploring the Arctic and enjoying your ski touring adventure.

      Our basecamp house offers great opportunities to see the Northern Lights – right from the doorstep! If the skies are clear, you may be treated to a magical aurora display in the evenings.

      Rooms & Facilities:

      MEALS

      Participants take care of meals themselves, but we encourage shared dinners during the trip. Small groups (1–3 people depending on group size) takes turns preparing one evening meal for the whole group. It's a great way to connect and enjoy your trip to the arctic together.

      Before the trip, we'll create a WhatsApp group for participants. It's a convenient way to coordinate shared dinners, ask questions, and get to know each other before your trip to arctic Norway.

      During your trip, we will go grocery shopping whenever necessary.


      Skills and fitness required: 

      Advanced skiing ability and some prior ski touring experience required. Participants should be in good physical condition.

      You should be able to ski black diamond ski slopes at ski areas in just about any condition, and be able to ski ungroomed slopes of intermediate difficulty without any hesitation.

      Weather and Safety:

      The Arctic weather can be unpredictable, requiring flexibility in plans. Daily assessments of weather and snow conditions are crucial for safety.

       If we have to cancel the excursion planned for the day due to weather conditions, another activity will be planned for the day.

      Equipment:

      Quality ski touring equipment is essential: touring skis, skins, avalanche safety gear (modern beacon, shovel, probe), and appropriate clothing for ski touring in Arctic conditions.
