Area around Tromsø and Lyngen has endless options for ski touring, where you can ski from the mountain peak all the way to the Arctic Ocean. The terrain offer a variety of terrain suitable for ski touring, from gentle slopes to steep couloirs and glaciated peaks. Our vertical drop is up to 1500m in the unbelievable Arctic mountains.
Guides are trained in avalanche awareness, snowpack assessment, and rescue techniques. They will provide instruction on how to use avalanche safety equipment, such as transceivers, probes, and shovels, and ensure that the group travels safely in avalanche terrain.
Using the knowledge of a local guide for a day of skiing is the easiest and safest way to not only find the best snow, but also to choose the most suitable downhill spots for your ability and aspirations. It is by far the easiest way of maximising your time in the mountains.

Skills required:
Advanced skiing ability and prior ski touring experience required. You should be able to ski black diamond ski slopes at ski areas in just about any condition, and be able to ski ungroomed slopes of intermediate difficulty without any hesitation.
Every participant needs following equipment:
