Arctic Mountain Guides organize nordic backcountry ski touring from Kilpisjärvi in Finnish Lapland. Ski tours head towards Halti, the highest peak of Finland, or from Finland across the border of the three borders to the arctic landscapes of Sweden and Norway. For a ski tour, you need winter camping equipment as well as nordic backcountry ski touring skis. It is possible to rent a ahkio-sled. Ask in more detail about the necessary equipment.
The high arctic tundra provides a perfect training base for Polar Expeditions. Our guide Pasi is an experienced nordicbackcountry ski guide and Arctic Explorer. In 2006 he skied across Greelands ice sheet and 2008 he became the first Finn to ski, unsupported and from the coast, to the South Pole.
